MAMBo-E is a new model of the Po Plain, a thick and large sedimentary basin in Northern Italy.
It is based on the original 3D model MAMBo by Molinari et al. (2015) (http://mambo.bo.ingv.it/index.html) , an extensive model of the sedimentary basin from the collection of geological data with a lateral resolution of 0.01° x 0.01°.
Here we include lateral variations of Vs from the inversion of ellipticity data from about 90 seismic stations and records from about 300 teleseisms. The new model has the same very detailed 3D layered structure as MAMBo, but the velocities are now constrained by seismic data. More information about MAMBo-E can be found in Berbellini et al. 2017, while details about the measurement technique are in Berbellini et al. 2016.
Depth sections with a vertical resolution of 0.5 km can be downloaded here.
